production/music management/composition
Christian Schoenborn has been involved in various areas of the music
business for almost 20 years.
In 1990, he started working as an IT-specialist in the catalog-department of
the “Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft”, the company who invented the gramophone
over 100 years ago. Beside, he earned an extra income as a singer and entertainer
in different bands and projects.
When he entered into a contract with MCA Publishing in 1996, Christian Schoenborn grew from being a singer and entertainer into a professional songwriter and music manager. Two years later he chalked up his first success in the German billboard charts with Heath Hunter's summer hit “Weedy Weedy Wee” which he wrote and produced. Along with fellow producer Kai Oliver Krug he founded the production and management company NautilusMusic. The new millenium brought their big time breakthrough with the pop duo Orange Blue who they produced and managed. They were nominated for the ECHO award for best newcomer and their two albums “In love with a dream” and “Songs of liberty” received gold and platinum status. In addition, NautilusMusic produced and co-wrote “Powered by emotion”, the musical campaign of one of Germany's major TV stations SAT1, for which they were awarded the “Eyes & Ears European Award 2002.” Furthermore, NautilusMusic and Orange Blue wrote, performed and produced the main theme of two major Hollywood blockbusters: “America's Sweetheart” starring Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones and Walt Disney's “Dinosaur.” Orange Blue became the first German band to ever contribute a song to a Disney movie. NautilusMusic also produced a song on the Platinum album “Now…us!” by No Angels, the most successful German girl group of all times. After years of great partnership at NautilusMusic, the time came to expand not only in content but also in theme. Hence, Christian Schoenborn set up on his own and founded kelvinEntertainment.
He managed to continue his successful career smoothly with the production of the extremely successful campaign “We love to entertain you” which has been the biggest campaign in the history of another major German TV station: Pro7.
Currently, Christian Schoenborn is involved in a variety of fresh, innovative
and promising music acts.
KelvinEntertainment is producing and managing the authentic and intelligent
pop singer/songwriter Verenice and the emotional new rock group ashton!. Both
acts have performed on major festivals, have been featured on several radio
and TV stations and are on their way to success and broad acceptance. Internationally
acclaimed producers such as Pat Dillet (Mary J. Blige, They Might Be Giants)
and Frank Bornemann (Guano Apes) could be won to contribute to the debut album
of ashton!. Furthermore, Christian Schoenborn is producing the new worldwide
campaign of the stylish German fashion label Tom Tailor.
By founding the label OneEyedCharlie and releasing the urban classics album “GemClass
Vol.1” Christian Schoenborn treaded new paths. Due to a dedicated partnership
with Germany's number one classical radio station and a fashion show tour with
the famous fashion label René Lezard, GemClass have already been able
to make a name for themselves.
In his urge for growth, Christian Schoenborn is presently following the call from the unknown to broaden his musical and personal horizon on a six-month trip to India.
